Take a look at any designer mens underwear store or collection and you’ll see that one style of underwear features more than any other - the boxer brief.
A relatively new style of underwear, the boxer brief takes the length of the boxer brief and the tightness of a brief and creates something new fresh and definitely worth trying out.
Not convinced? Here are some 7 reasons why:
1. Wearing a pair of boxer briefs whilst working out will keep you more supported than a pair of boxers, and thanks to the longer length will add additional support to your upper leg muscles that a brief can’t
2. Boxer shorts are well know for bunching up as soon as you sit down in them. Wearing a boxer brief will rid you of this problem as the legs sit close against your leg.
3. Boxer briefs give a very flattering lower body silhouette, particularly if you are of a larger build.
4. The choice of mens boxer briefs on the market these days well exceeds any of the other styles and allows you to find something that’ll suit your personality perfectly whether that be plain and sophisticated or loud and outrageous. There is also variety in cut with short leg and low rise waist options also available.
5. You get to protect your modesty - jump around in a pair of boxer shorts and your bits will be jumping all over the place with you too. Wear boxer briefs and you’ll find it not only a whole lot more comfortable but also a whole lot more secure.
6. They’re much more warming in the cold weather as they hug your leg keeping the warmth in (this can however make them a bit hot in the Summer if you don’t choose a good quality thin fabric boxer brief)
7. Perhaps the most important of all - surveys have shown that women love men in a good boxer briefs so if you’re a straight man looking to impress then the boxer brief it has to be.
Which boxer brief should you be buying?
There’s no definitive answer to this question - what boxer brief is right for you is a very personal decision and will require a bit of trial and error before you get it right.
My advice though would be to spend a bit more and get a pair of designer boxer briefs, because you’ll often find that the cheaper you go, the less support and comfort you will get from them.
Having said all that though, if you really don’t know where to begin my advice would be to try out a few universal favourites, like the Calvin Klein 365 boxer briefs range and Calvin Klein Pro Stretch boxer briefs range - loved by many for it’s shorter leg and colourful waistbands and gorgeous prints.
